Eric Yakes, Managing Partner

Eric began his career in the corporate finance & restructuring group of FTI Consulting and then moved to Lion Equity Partners, a private equity buyout fund. Before founding Epoch, Eric authored The 7th Property: Bitcoin and the Monetary Revolution and has written extensively on Bitcoin and its enabling technologies. Eric double majored in Finance & Economics at Creighton University and is a CFA charter holder.

VJ Vesnaver, Operating Partner

VJ has worked as an operator, strategist, consultant, and policy expert in the Bitcoin/crypto industry since 2016. Most recently, he helped manage the $5 billion restructuring process at Celsius and led an Operations & Strategy team at Coinbase. Before joining the industry, VJ spent 8 years in Strategy and Economic consulting at BCG and FTI Consulting, and earned a JD from Harvard Law School where he launched the Harvard Law School Blockchain & Fintech Initiative and ran the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project. VJ earned a BA in Economics-Mathematics and Government from Colby College.

Clark Moody, Venture Partner

Clark has been a prolific builder and technologist in the Bitcoin space since 2011, creating a number of successful products in the industry, including trading platforms and industry-leading data tools. Clark founded Interchange, a tool for crypto trade reconciliation, acquired by Kraken in 2019. His RTBTC trading platform was acquired by Blockchain in 2014. Clark is a maintainer of the Rust Bitcoin library. Clark earned both his BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University.

Danny Knowles, Venture Partner

Danny has worked in the industry since 2018 as the executive producer for the largest podcast in Bitcoin, What Bitcoin Did. Danny helped build WBD into the industry standard, with millions of active listeners – making it a top 25 investing podcast in the US and UK. At the end of 2024, Danny took over as host of What Bitcoin Did.

Adam Stryer, Analyst

Adam started his career in Equity Research at Berenberg Capital Markets before transitioning to 2Xideas, a Zurich-based investment firm and hedge fund. He has also provided consulting services to fintech lending startups. Adam earned a double major in Economics and Statistics from Northwestern University and holds multiple FINRA series licenses.
